My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Stash, a 1-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix who was left at a fire station as a 5-week-old puppy in 2023. Despite this rough start, he has grown into an intelligent, friendly, and social dog. With his striking features, most notably his gorgeous eyes, he captures hearts wherever he goes. He’s highly adaptable, gets along well with people, and is a natural when it comes to playing with other dogs of similar temperament and size. His personality strikes a perfect balance—energetic and playful, but also capable of being calm and low-key as he matures.

Stash would thrive in a home with another playful dog and would do best with older children. His compatibility with cats remains unknown. As the rescue’s longest-term foster, he has been waiting patiently for his forever home and deserves the chance to finally find it.

Our foster dogs/pups are all in foster homes and can be met by appointment. We also will have regular adoption events at PetSmart and Pet Supply Plus stores.

Mission -

Active Paws rescue will help pets in need through sheltering, adoption, education, spay/neuter, and community outreach.

Vision -

Active Paws Rescue would love to see that every animal knows love and kindness. No animal should have to endure needless neglect and suffering. We will provide a voice to those that need it most.

We believe in not only helping the animals but educating our local communities on how to do better.

Active Paws Rescue strongly believes in spaying and neutering all pets. All our adoptable dogs will be fully vetted before adoption.
