Max and "brother" Bear are a bonded pair. Max was originally adopted from PMAR as a puppy, but when the owner contacted us about returning him due to illness and no longer being able to care for him, they asked if we could also take Bear. We said, yes, because we knew Max was losing the only home he had ever known, so we didn't want him to lose his brother, too.
Bear is a little more reserved than Max (who is very outgoing and friendly), but they truly love each other and we want to keep them together.
We would like to find them a home with a nice fenced-in yard where they could run and play. Bear is oblivious to cats, but Max is a bit reactive, so a kitty-free home would be best. They seem to get along with other dogs.
Both pups are strong and need work on leash manners. They are neutered up-to-date and ready for a home to call their own!
All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary.
Vet references and a home/family visit are required, and an adoption fee applies.
Transport options are available within our area of operation, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England. Please note we do not adopt animals into Canada.
Visit www.pmarinc.org for more information, and to fill out an application.
