My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Jake. And yes, I'm a puggle. I sat in a shelter for quite awhile, waiting for someone to take me home, but the fact is that I didn't do well in that environment and my behavior was way out of control. I was brought into foster care, and the beginnings of change were almost immediate. Within a day I had a brain back in my head! I am only 13 months old, so my behavior isn't perfect yet, but I'm well on my way. I'm potty trained, and I understand simple things like "come", "no", and "get off". I am great with my foster dog brothers and children, and I'd do best in a home with either a dog buddy or a person home most of the time so I don't get bored. I will still seek the highest point in any room, and walking me is a little like puggle skiing, but I'm working on those things. I really do want to be a good boy. Please do some reading about beagles before inquiring about me, as my behavior is leaned that way, especially the part about following my nose... out the door... through the gate... down the block and right to the dog catcher if you don't keep an eye on me! My pug blood mellows me some (but remember I'm a youngster), and quiets my bark. After reading, if you are interested in a handsome, healthy, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, loving, loyal companion, and you have a fully and securely fenced yard, I'm your guy! My adoption fee is $300
