Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Shelter Courtesy Post: Knoxville, IA
My name is Clark and I am a 3 year old, 40 lb. Border Collie / Aussie mix (we’re not quite sure). I am in need of a home with no children or cats. I am neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots and on heartworm prevention.
Some great things about me:
- I love to play fetch with frisbees! If you are looking for a potential disc catching or agility pup- I may be your guy!
- I am smart and a quick learner. I know how sit, stay, shake, high five and leave it. I love to play and chew on toys and bones.
- I love getting my belly rubbed and cuddling after a long day of playing. I like adults and other dogs, big and small.
Some of my challenges:
- I have separation anxiety and prefer to be with someone most of the time. I would be a great work from home partner. I have been working with my owners and previous trainers on my anxiety and have found some medications that help me.
- I do not enjoy being in a crate, I like to be able to see our a window when possible.
- I do have a bite history, and do not like people pulling on my collar when I am excited. I get really scared and remorseful. I really need someone to help train me and be patient with me.
- I am learning patience and self-control, and really want to be a good boy – I just need help with making good choices.
My ideal adopter / foster would be an experienced dog owner who will be consistent and patient. I need someone who can establish rules and structure without harsh corrections, and who knows how to appropriately reward me for making the right decisions. I am not a dog for an inexperienced owner, or for a family with children. If you have training experience and are looking for an active partner, I may be a great choice.
Even though I have some challenges, I really, really want my own family and I will be an awesome dog for the right home. If you think you can provide a great home for me, please contact the shelter listed below.
