Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cupcake
Age: 1ish
Gender: Female
Breed: Pit mix
Weight: 28.6 lb
Crate trained: Yes
Potty trained: Yes, with occasional accidents when transitioning and figuring out her schedule
Dog friendly: Yes, and loves to play ALL the games: wrestle, chase, steal the toy, keep the toy away. Has a very athletic play style.
Cat friendly: Unsure, but might not be a match based on her interest in rabbits and squirrels outside
Kid friendly: She's done well visiting with a 7 and 9 year old, and meeting kids on walks. School-age kids would be best given her energetic play style.
Vaccinated: Yes
Spayed/Neutered: Yes
Heartworm: Negative
Microchipped: Yes
Energy level: Medium-High. She snoozes for a good part of the day, but during play with her foster's resident dog, she's very energetic.
Cupcake is the total package! Brains, beauty, and a bubbling personality. She came to us as a skinny stray but has been settling into home life, making many human and canine friends, and preparing to find her forever home!
Cupcake would be fine as an only dog, or with playful buddies who're ok with her making a game of stealing their toys 😄 If she has a doggie friend, she'll insist on a few rowdy play sessions a day–she's won her shy foster bro over with her goofy insistence on wrestling. If there's not another dog to play with, she'll settle for a game of fetch, chew toy, or even finding cicadas in the yard.
After playtime, it's nap time! Cupcake very sweetly cuddles up with canine buddies during the day, and would love to spend the night snoozing against your side.
There’s meal time, too! Cupcake has an adventurous palette (happy to help you with any carrot or watermelon scraps you'd like to share) and won't beg for food but might patiently sit by your feet while you chop in the kitchen. Because she’s food-motivated, she'd surely be an honor roll student in a positive-reinforcement training class–she’s already mastered "sit", "down", and "wait", and seems to have great recall.
