Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Juno, and I’m named after Juno Beach in Florida, the state that I was rescued from. I’m a 6-month-old black and tan male Shiba Inu. I came from a breeder in Florida who became ill and was unable to keep us. Their son contacted the Shiba Inu Rescue of Florida, and they contacted DC SIR to help take in 10 of us. I made it to Shiba Headquarters and was so happy to meet all the other rescue dogs. My foster family picked me up, along with my new foster sister Mango. We had a long ride, which made me a little stressed. I paced, but after 20 minutes, I was able to relax. I even napped for a little bit. When I got inside, I was so excited and happy to be home that I started kissing my foster parents nonstop. That’s how I show my love. I sleep in a crate at night. I’m used to it, so I slept all night. When it’s time for me to get out of my crate, I’m super excited, but I’m learning to calm down before I get out. I love chewing on everything, so I have lots of chew toys to keep me busy. I like treats too, but not as much as getting attention from my foster family. I love being rubbed behind the ears and back. I even jumped in my foster mom’s lap and fell asleep. I get along with my foster sister, but she steals my toys. I don’t get too upset. I just find another toy to play with. When I’m home alone, all I do is catch up on sleep. I’m doing great on walks already! I explore everything around me, but I don’t walk too far away. I always make sure my foster parent is close by. I see other dogs on our walk, and I like to meet them if I can. I don’t bark at them, even if they bark at me. I know I’m safe and, so far, my life has been great. I can’t wait to meet my forever family and see how even better it can get.
