Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet our senior boy Morty! He is 12 years old, all of a foot tall, and weighs 22 pounds. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives, heart worm negative, and microchipped!
This little shorty is blind, but that doesn't slow him down much at all! He gets around well and does great on a leash. He does need more vocal cues, but has adapted quite well. Most people that see him have no idea he can't see what's going on around him! He plays chase with this doggy friends and tries to herd his foster siblings. He's pretty entertaining! He does get daily drops in his eyes, but does really well having them administered. He's a pro at this point.
Morty is house trained and doggy door trained. Like some male dogs, he may mark a few spots when he first moves in to a new place, but doesn't have any issues with marking after that. He just wants everyone to know he belongs to the family now. He does get along with other dogs and cats, but he may become a little scared or defensive around doggos with big dog energy. He might not be able to see them, but he can sense the vibes.
This cutie was found as a stray in October 2022, all alone out in the world, unsure why his people weren't with him anymore. Morty is a happy, fun guy who is looking for a forever family of his own, that he very much deserves! He knows there is someone out there for him that has big love for seniors.
