Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Well, hello! Lovable Lucy here, letting you know I’m looking for my forever people! I spent some time on the streets and was in rough shape – but CEBR came to the rescue and I’m a healthy girl now. They don’t really know how old I am, but I’m full grown (maybe around 3 years old) at about 50 pounds, fully vaccinated, spayed and microchipped.
The L in Lucy is for LOVE! I am a love-a-bull bully – my foster family thinks I must have been lonely on the street as I love to be by you – no matter what you’re doing! Sitting on the floor, on a chair, working, I just want to be by your side (or on your lap!). I love going for walks, too! I’m a brisk walker, so don’t fall behind – oh, and I LOVE to sniff…and sniff… and sniff while I’m walking. I have caught on to the potty schedule and I’m crate-trained when no one is home or at bedtime – I have gotten into my fair share of trash cans around the house! I know when it’s time to go to bed and curl up and start to snooze… and SNORE!
I’m working on my manners when I meet new people or pets – I tend to get excited and jump around a bit! I’m a pretty good walker, but I’m very strong – I sometimes pull and jump when there’s something exciting around?! But my foster family is showing me there are delicious rewards for having manners when meeting people. I can sit on command and lay down (most of the time). I’m a smart girl, so I catch on fast. I’d probably do well with someone who wanted to go on long, brisk walks with me – I am getting in two a day with my foster family – and who will invest some time into training.
As I mentioned, I get excited around other animals. I’m good around kids – at least tween and teenage kids. They LOVE Lucy snuggles! Not sure how I am around other dogs. My foster dog siblings Coconut and Lawrence are still getting used to my energy level, so we are taking it a bit slower. I am hoping to make them love me, too! 😊
I’m a lovely girl who would do best in a home where I can get some daily walks, good training, and LOTs and LOTs and LOTs of snuggle time.
