Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Peyton came in as a stray and noone came looking for her. She's a sweet girl but takes some time to warm up to new people. Peyton is a Malinois/Rottweiler mix. and is about 4 to 5 years old. This lovely lady is good with some dogs, and would love a home that could show her all the good that the world has to offer, while also being patient and understanding to her need to sometimes go slow and take her time.

Additional adoption info

The adoption fees are:

DOGS - $150 - Includes 2 Distemper Vaccinations, Rabies Vaccine, 2 Wormings, Flea Treatment (if needed), Vet Technician Check-up, Spay/Neuter, microchipping, heartworm/lyme test.

CATS - $50 - Same as Dogs. Also a Combination Leukemia/FIV Test and Ear
Mite Treatment.

PUPPIES - $100 + Varying Mandatory Spay/Neuter Deposit - Includes 1 or 2
Distemper Vaccinations, Rabies Vaccine (if 3 months or older), 1 or 2
Wormings, Flea Treatment (if needed.)

KITTENS - $15 + Varying Mandatory Spay/Neuter Deposit - Includes 1 or 2
Distemper Vaccinations, Rabies Vaccine (if over 3 months), 1 or 2 Wormings,
Flea Treatment (if needed), FELV Tested, Ear Mite Treatment.

The Spay/Neuter Deposit when adopting a puppy or kitten is required by state law. It is refunded at the time the puppy or kitten is spayed/neutered or covers the price of their spay or neuter in full at our Vets office.

Ayres Memorial Animal Shelter operates as a
"quality of life" shelter, and the devoted workers
are committed to making sure that every animal
in their care has exactly that.

All adult animals are spayed and neutered
prior to being made available for adoption.

In addition, all animals receive all necessary shots,
wormings, and other medical treatments.

All would-be adoptive families are carefully screened
before being allowed to take home any pet. In this
way, each adopted animal is assured of a good and
loving home.
