Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hunter was left behind when his family packed up and moved away. He was tied to a tree - but he still loves everyone. He came to the local county shelter with very few dog skills, EXCEPT how to chase the ball, carry it to the top of the hill, and chase it down the hill again. Time after time. Soon he discovered humans can throw the ball farther. But he did not want to give it up. A qualified dog trainer came to the shelter for a consultation and educated the volunteers on how to convince him to "give us the ball". He learns very fast. It has also been discovered he has excellent tracking skills. For those reasons, when his number came up for the euthanasia list, it was time for him to go to rescue.
On a personal side, Hunter loves his humans. He has learned to stand or sit beside his caregiver and wait for love and affection. He also loves a husky that also resides at his foster home. Currently, he doesn't have many other dogs available to socialize with, but he did not show dog aggression at the shelter. We are also working on housetraining. For now, he is crate trained. He is a very smart boy and figures out everything we have introduced him to.
He is young, healthy, athletic, neutered, and very handsome. Bringing him home would not disappoint.
