My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rivet is a 1 year old shih tzu who came from an Amish Puppy Mill with his 3 brothers in bad shape as you can see from some of the before photos they were matted down to their skin and caked in feces and urine. Rivet and all his brothers will need a lot of work, patience and training for socialization.

Rivet spent the first year of his life with no tlc so he is very cautious around new people especially adults but has never shown aggression and will let you hold and pet him though he will not actively walk up to an adult. He is currently in foster with younger children and he trusts them the most. He has been actively seeking out their love and attention and sleeps with them every night in bed. Rivet will need an owner and family who will allow him the grace of adjusting and learning how to be a loved family pet. (Possibly a few months)
