My name is Hershey!

Meet Hershey!
This sweet bully girl was pulled from Long Beach Shelter with a dire need of surgery on her eyelids which we provided a few weeks ago. She is now in perfect health and ready for her forever home!

When we first got Hershey, she was scared of other dogs (barking, lunging). We have had a dog trainer fostering her since her surgery and now she is able to comfortably go on walks side-by-side with other dogs while showing amazing leash manners! We LOVE the progress she has made in the last couple of weeks, but we are looking for a home where she is either the only dog, or is going to owners that are very, very savvy with crate rotations, dog behavior, etc.

Hershey LOVES people- especially women and is so playful!! She loves to play with toys and get silly with her fosters in their yard. It may take her a little bit to warm up to new men. She is just so sensitive due to her traumatic past.

She is crate trained, potty trained, just a wonder of a dog. She loves to snuggle SO much! Because she is such a velcro dog, we recommend her being crated when alone or at night to avoid the possibility of separation anxiety which is SO difficult to undo once it has begun.
