My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Vayda is a once-feral cat who has shown incredible resilience and adaptability in her transition to becoming a beloved pet. Her love for catnip, fascination with wildlife, and playful antics with lasers never fail to bring joy to those around her. While she may have started off shy and reserved, Vayda is gradually coming out of her shell and showing her sweet and affectionate nature. With patience and understanding, Vayda is on her way to becoming a cherished member of any loving home.

More about this shelter

CCA was founded in 1980 by a small group of individuals dedicated to helping animals. Since then, our group has grown to include a small shelter. Our group's mission is varied: to maintain a shelter for abandoned, sick or injured animals; to adopt out dogs and cats to loving permanent homes; to provide for their animals low-cost spay/neuter assistance to families who lack the means to pay; and to strive to prevent and to stop abuse and/or neglect of an animal.

We are always in need of volunteers! If you are interested in becoming a part of our group, please let us know by calling 864.243.4222. We'd be glad to have you on board!
