Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Look a this beautiful girl! Her name is Carla and she is two years old. She does well on walks and is an excellent jogging partner. She will focus in on other dogs or animals and can pull (especially with cats or reactive dogs) but she`s manageable and redirects pretty quickly. A good, solid walk (e.g., at least a mile) or two along with a couple play sessions in the yard keeps her playful energy in check. She loves to play games like puzzle activities, and is constantly learning new commands. Carla is smart and very trainable. She loves to be outside laying in the sun! Carla is doing great with crate training. She will eagerly `kennel up` to eat her meals. She is a happy go lucky type dog with very few anxiety triggers. Carla loves her humans but does not like cats. She is fine with other dogs - even smaller ones. She would likely love to have a bigger, more playful dog to socialize with. Carla is good with older children too. If you are looking for a loving, loyal, young dog who likes to play and learn, Carla would be the perfect fit! Now that she is gaining weight and feeling better, Carla is demonstrating puppy/teenage type behaviors and energy. She does well on walks and is an excellent jogging partner. Carla could walk nicely on a loose lease from day one so we’re reinforcing that skill and she’s learning to heel. She will focus in on other dogs or animals and can pull (especially with cats or reactive dogs) but she’s manageable and redirects pretty quickly. A good, solid walk (e.g., at least a mile) or two along with a couple play sessions in the yard keeps her playful puppy energy in check. Puzzle type activities are also working well to give her something satisfying to do rather than getting into things or chewing something she shouldn’t. Carla can get mouthy when she is excited or bored so we’re working on “leave it”. She is also learning to “drop it” as she learns to play fetch, which she is loving!
Carla is smart and very trainable. She’s been with us for almost a month and has learned to sit (even while waiting for her food to be made!) and frequently touches the bell on our door to let us know she would like to go outside. Carla loves to be outside laying in the sun! She is pretty close to reliably housebroken. We’re just mindful to bring her right outside when she comes out of her crate in the morning or after a long nap

More about this rescue
The mission of One Love Animal Rescue, Inc. is to help abandoned, neglected, abused and unwanted pets by partnering with shelters, rescue groups and the community to facilitate adoption of these animals into permanent and loving homes.
Our goal is to save one life at a time by promoting local animal shelter adoptions and raising awareness in our community about responsible pet ownership. We strive to highlight the importance of spaying or neutering pets which will aid in the reduction of overpopulation. We believe that appropriate and positive reinforcement training and socialization of these shelter animals will lead to well-adjusted family pets, thereby decreasing the number of abandoned animals in shelters. Our dream is that one day all the shelters will be empty because every pet will have a home.
One Love Animal Rescue, Inc. is a volunteer based organization located in Savannah, Georgia. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit and all donations directly benefit the animals entrusted in our care.
