Hi! My name is Socket because when paws got me I had one eye and one empty SOCKET! (PAWS had it closed for me) I am looking for a new permanent home. PAWS got me from a rescue who got me from a hording situation. My whole history is unknown but while I was in rescue I was exposed to a cat that carried the Feleuk virus. PAWS has tested me and it doesn't look as though I picked it up but in all honesty it could show up as far as 6 months from exposure. Chances are very slim that I could have it, but my rescuer feels it's important that anyone considering adopting me knows everything they do about my health. It would be best if I get adopted as an only kittie right now and come September, PAWS will pay for another test for this virus. I need to be an inside only cat because I don't have any depth perception (one of the downfalls to having only one eye) but you won't mind having me inside with you because I am a very social boy. I am also old enough to know that I need to sleep when you do, I don't crave curtain climbing or like to race around like a possessed kitten and pounce on your toes when you turn the corner. I like everyone I meet including cat friendly dogs and kids too. If you are interested in getting a wonderful new feline for your home, please consider me!
All PAWS-OK cats and kittens have been fostered in a home environment and are litter box trained, up-to-date on their vaccinations, spayed or neutered and have been tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV prior to being made available for adoption. The adoption fee is $70 (cash only).
Some of our cats are available for adoption at the PetSmart on NW Expressway and Rockwell in OKC. Please check our website at pawsok.com and go to the 'Adopt' tab to see a list of those currently available in the PetSmart Adoption Center.
The first step in adoption is to complete an Adoption Request form which we use to help us match you with a cat or kitten that best meets your desires, experience and home environment. You can request one at: pawsok@sbcglobal.net or pick one up at PetSmart. Thanks for adopting a rescued cat - they make the best pets!October 22, 2024, 12:24 am
