Jade is a very sweet, talkative female cat who is looking for a new home. She was recently surrendered to PAWS by the only family she has ever known because they fell on some difficult times and lost their home. Jade was born in their home to a stray momma cat on 6/20/10. The family found new homes for all Jade's littermates and her mom too, but decided to keep Jade who was the runt of the litter and the gentlest kitten they ever saw. Jade has lived a happy, indoor life with this wonderful family ever since, sleeping with the kids, playing with the dog and chasing her favorite toys (plastic easter eggs!) around the house. Jade has been a little nervous about all the changes recently and all the new people she has had to learn to trust but she is coming along just great. If you are looking for a great family cat that totally FREAKS if you take her outside (honestly - puffs up, growling, hissing - we've never seen a cat more afraid of being outside!) then take a minute and think about Jade. She will probably be a little shy at first, but once she gets to know you be prepared for a cat who will love your kids, follow you around the house and complain loudly about anything she doesn't find to her liking.... for example a dirty litterbox (her previous owners spoiled her!).
All PAWS-OK cats and kittens have been fostered in a home environment and are litter box trained, up-to-date on their vaccinations, spayed or neutered and have been tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV prior to being made available for adoption. The adoption fee is $70 (cash only).

The first step in adoption is to complete an Adoption Request form which we use to help us match you with a cat or kitten that best meets your desires, experience and home environment.
