Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Say hello to Skeeter. He arrived with his sister, Susie. They are cute and adorable little (8 pound) sweethearts. They are 14 and they have lived together for all 14 years so we are hoping to adopt them out together. Even though they are bonded, they both like their own space. They arrived very matted and had to have their hair shaved off but as you can see in the pictures – it’s growing back nicely.
They get along very well with other dogs – no aggressive behavior. Neither have any teeth but that has not slowed them down come feeding time. Both are housebroken but may have a little accident especially after eating. They sleep in their own dog beds at night but will also settle in nicely if you put them in bed next to you.
Susie is the brown Yorkie. She is the adventurous one, loves to wander the backyard checking things out – like our resident box turtle or trotting up and down the hill and back rubs.
Skeeter is the white Maltese, a little more reserved but loves to snuggle. Plop him next to you on the couch or chair and he’ll snuggle right in. Throw in some belly rubs and he is in heaven.
They did not come from an environment that had stairs, so they shy away from them. They’ll need help getting up and down steps but they are light so you can tuck one under each arm and they are ready to travel.
Looking for a forever home that’ll take them both, preferably with a fenced in backyard.
These are older dogs and do have dry eyes; Susie is on Apoquel for skin allergies. Susie is on Hill’s k/d for kidney issues and Skeeter is on Hill’s i/d. That means if you adopt us we’ll be on pills, eye drops and prescription food for life. So be sure if you apply for us, you understand what it means.
We sure hope there is someone out there who really wants to give these two a home together where they can live out the rest of their lives with a loving family.
