My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Louie is a cute little 9 pound poodle who came into a local shelter as a stray and was not claimed. He was very matted and had to be shaved down but will be so handsome once his hair grows back.

Louie is about two years old, and a little shy at first around people, but does love to snuggle and follow you around once he gets to know you. He does bark some at new people but is wagging his tail so he really just needs to be socialized more with people. Once he gets to know you he will give you kisses and crawl right in your lap.

He has been fine with other dogs and also with some kittens in the foster home. He has also been good with children, but older children would be better since he is still timid and does get scared around loud noises.

He is learning to walk on a leash and working on his housebreaking. He would make a great companion for someone who works from home or is home a lot.
