Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This little girl was found in Oklahoma with an open wound on the inside of her leg. A good samaritan found her and contacted us. We took her into our rescue with the first stop being at the vet. She healed up beautifully and is a happy, very energetic pup that LOVES people and other dogs and just wants to play. She is rambunctious and fun loving and absolutely LOVES children. She loves to play ball and will run and jump to catch it. She loves going on walks and would like to run but we are working on taking it slow. She is strong and healthy and beautiful. She has golden eyes and erect ears. She is very smart and is willing to obey. She is working on learning basic commands and she has a good attitude and just needs someone with patience and experience with this type very happy dog! She needs a fenced yard since she knows no danger and loves to run the pasture if given a chance. She is an inside/outside dog as she sleeps in the garage at night in her crate, and is in and out of the back yard in the day. It has been so hot in this area that she is in air conditioning in the daytime with short trips outside. She is very wiggly when hooking her to the leash, as she just wants to be petted and loved on. - and she also likes to stand up and give hugs! She has a best friend that she is with every day, so it would be good for her if she had another dog to cuddle up to and play with. Also, I would recommend someone with older children or someone that has experience with walking an energetic pup. She attaches to anyone that will show her kindness and love. She deserves a forever home as she had a rough start but now has a chance to live her best life. She is up to date on all shots, is spayed, and is heartworm negative; she is currently taking Heartguard monthly. Please contact me if you are interested in meeting her. We are in the North Texas area, near Sherman.

We charge $125 for the adult dogs. This is a re-homing fee that shows a sincere interest in the pet by the potential adopter. We require an application with references, a vet reference, and a home safety inspection. References are called. We also prefer a fenced yard.

More about this rescue
I am an individual that became aware of the euthanasia of dogs at shelters in 2012. (This is still happening everywhere due to overcrowding and overpopulation.) I went to a shelter one day to see the dogs on the euthanasia list. I asked to see 4 of them and was told I could not see them because they were "in the back". They got the manager at that point, that took me behind those closed doors, and I was only allowed to see 2 due to the fear of spreading germs. The volunteers helped me by putting one in an adjoining play yard, so I had 2 outside, and I saw the other 2 in the hall as we were passing thru. I adopted 4 dogs on the spot, one black bait dog, one pit bull, and two black mixed sisters. Those dogs walked out of that shelter that day. And that was the start of me rescuing dogs that had no chance at life.
I have adopted and cared for and re-homed dogs ever since. We have also cared for many mamas and puppies through the years. My passion is to get all these second chance dogs adopted to their forever homes, and then be able to work in another capacity to help in any way I can. My life has been forever changed. All these beating hearts are why we do what we do.
