Here's what the humans have to say about me:
If you can give Mama an amazing home, please fill out an application at https://brokenheartsrescue.wixsite.com/mysite/general-6 NOT AT ADOPT-A-PET.
Mama came from a very heartbreaking situation. A kind family heard distressed cries outside during a thunderstorm with very heavy rain and went searching for whatever it was. This poor sweet girl was in the middle of giving birth under a bush, completely drenched, and all alone. The family was able to get her inside and warm so she could finish giving birth.
Once she was safe inside, they discovered her one eye was quite large and bulging. They took her to the vet the next day, and a week later, she was healthy enough that she had surgery to remove the eye.
Mama is a super loving ball of fluff when she trusts you. She loves to be snuggled and brushed. She is understandably a little shy around new people but warms up fairly quickly. Losing her eye has made her a little more comfortable on the ground than up high. Although she does okay with respectful kids, if it gets too loud, she can get overwhelmed and hide. Dogs are kind of scary, and that probably has to do with feeling less able to see to defend herself. She would love a home where she can feel safe with a family who will love her her whole life.
