My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Maybelle was turned loose with 11 puppies at the end of a dirt road.  She is approximately 3 years old with a very sweet disposition.  She is a Catahoula hound mix.  Maybelle weighs approximately 45 lbs.  Maybelle has told us that she is looking for a fun loving family who will care for her her entire life.  She, and her daughter, Josie love romping around together.  They would love to end up in the same home.

Additional adoption info

We don't have a facility, so we screen applicants thoroughly before we set up a meet and greet. We conduct a vet check, reference check and a home check. We typical set up the meet at the adoptive home so the home check can be completed at the same time. If both parties agree the pup is a good fit we complete the adoption agreement and accept the adoption fee.

More about this rescue

We are tackling the problem one animal at a time. Ayla’s Acres No-Kill Animal Rescue is a St. Augustine, Florida-based 501(c)(3) supporting adoption, spay and neuter, and responsible care of animals. Along with education, outreach, and adoption and fostering programs, Ayla’s Acres also maintains a 45-acre sanctuary where “unadoptable” animals may live out their lives with peace, love, and dignity.
