MEET OUR PRESCIOUS SKYLER
BACKGROUND:
Skyler is a delightful 10-week-old Chipoo mix who recently found herself in need of a loving forever home. She and her brother, Tyler, were surrendered by their previous owner and are both looking for their forever families. Skyer is a Chipoo mix, age is 10 weeks and approximately 3lbs. Note: We were informed by the previous owner Skyler is a Chipoo but we are not 100% certain of the mixes as there could be some terrier – we do not consider Skyler a hypoallergenic dog so if you have allergies, she will not be the one for you.
HEALTH:
Skyler has already had her first set of vaccinations and has received a clean bill of health from our trusted veterinarian. She is a healthy, happy little girl ready to embark on her journey with a loving family.
PERSONALITY:
Skyler's foster family describes her as outgoing, playful, and incredibly friendly. She's a bundle of joy who adores playing with squeaky toys and having fun with crinkly newspaper. But it's not just play that she loves; she's also a foodie who enjoys her meals with great enthusiasm. When it's time to unwind, Skyler is more than happy to cuddle up with you – her foster mom attests to her potential as a wonderful snuggle buddy.
ADVENTURESOME SPIRIT:
Skyler is an adventurous little pup. While she initially ate her meals in her crate, she's becoming more confident and now dines outside of it. In fact, the first time she ate outside her crate, she tried to bring her dish back into her cozy space. She finds security in her crate but equally enjoys exploring and interacting with her human family.
REQUIREMENTS:
Skyler is looking for a loving family who will dedicate time to shower her with affection. Being a young puppy, she should not be left alone for extended periods, so a family with the flexibility to care for her during her early developmental stages is ideal. Skyler's socialization journey is ongoing, and enrolling her in positive training classes will be a tremendous help in her continued growth. Skyler's friendly nature suggests that she would be happiest in a home with another small, young dog to play and grow alongside.
TRAINING AND ROUTINE:
Her foster family is diligently working on house training with pee pads, and she's making good progress. As she awaits her second and third vaccination boosters, outdoor activities are limited to the backyard. Skyler thrives on routine, and she's adapting well to a consistent feeding and sleeping schedule. So far, she's been a quiet pup, emitting only little moans.
