Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gemma is a gentle and loving dog who may initially be a bit shy, but once she warms up, her sweet and affectionate nature truly shines. This smart girl has herding instincts, so she might not be the best fit for homes with small animals or children under 12. However, with the right environment, she is an incredibly loyal companion who thrives on human interaction and affection.
Gemma enjoys attention and will gladly offer her paw in return for a chest scratch – her favorite way of showing love! She’s looking for a cozy spot to call her own, whether it's a soft bed or your lap. Gemma would do well in a home that appreciates her intelligence and provides her with patience, love, and the stability she needs to feel safe.
If you’re looking for a dog who will develop a deep bond with you over time, Gemma is the perfect match. Come meet her and see if you’re ready to give this sweet girl the forever home she deserves! 🐕

Additional adoption info
We require an in-person application for all dogs and cats. A home visit will be required for larger dogs, who require a fenced in yard. Our animals are only adopted out after they have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Our adoption fees are $90 for cats and $110+ for dogs. Puppies are $130. Cash, check, credit or debit card are all accepted. Sometimes the fee will be higher for a dog, if it is a purebred. We would like to keep our adoptions local; in the event the adoption does not work out, the animal must come back to us. Adopters must sign an agreement to this effect. We do consider out of state adopters, please phone us before coming. We are a private rescue. Please be patient if we take a little time to respond.
Those adopting a cat must bring a carrier to transport the cat home safely.
