My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sadie! She is an 8-10 year old hound mix that is looking for her forever home! She needs a unicorn home where she is the ONLY animal. She has high prey drive and is not always friendly with other dogs. She is a go with the flow type of dog and is down for anything, if you want to go hiking or lay on the couch all day she is fine with anything! She is a sweet dog and if you are interested in adopting her contact Amber at (865) 679-9571

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

RescuesForJoJo (RFJ) requires both an adoption application and a contract. We check vet and personal references and do home visits. To request an adoption application, please email us at rescuesforjojo@yahoo.com.

All dogs 6 months of age and older are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. All dogs are vaccinated and treated for any infections or other illnesses of which we become aware. Serious medical problems are also treated.

We offer out of town adoptions.

Our adoption fee is $150. Adoption fees are non-refundable.

Go meet their pets

RescuesForJoJo (RFJ) is located in Knoxville, Tennessee. We operate out of foster homes. If you would like to meet a dog, contact us and we will schedule a visit.

More about this rescue

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, all volunteer organization. RescuesForJoJo (RFJ) was founded to help rescue shelter dogs in need. Our group focuses more on the "undesirables" in the shelter; medically fragile, injured, abused, and breed or color specific dogs who would, otherwise, be looked over and euthanized through no fault of their own.

RFJ receives dogs from high kill shelters. We depend solely upon the help of pre-approved fosters.

Before our dogs are approved for placement, they are fostered and vetted. Vetting includes appropriate vaccinations, testing for heartform, spaying or neutering and, sometimes, other surgery. When the dog is ready for placement, applications are reviewed to find the best home for the dog. Transport to the new home can be arranged.

RFJ is always in need of volunteers and foster homes. We welcome the assistance of anyone interested in making a difference in the life of a dog.

The righteous care for the needs of their animals, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel. Proverbs 12:10
