Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cheddar is looking for a very special home. When Chedder came into foster, he spent the first several months pressed into a corner, making himself as small as possible with the saddest eyes ever seen. He was afraid, and would not allow anyone to touch him. Then cautiously, Cheddar started coming out of his corner, making friends with the other cats, and learning that the humans were safe.
Finally one day, Cheddar started accepting pets, especially when the other cats were being petted. His instinct was to still run away from an outstretched hand but after some encouragement, he would come back for pets. That lasted for many more months, until suddenly one day Cheddar hopped on the couch with the humans to cuddle. Now he is an absolute cuddle bug, running up for cuddles anytime the humans sit on the couch and sleeps next to the humans at nighttime.
Cheddar still spooks easily and is very shy so an adult only home is best. Cheddar does well with nice dogs, and playful young cats in the home will be an absolute must! Cheddar loves running through the house, wrestling, and playing with the other cats. Also, friendly social cats will play a key role in helping Chedder settle into his new home and teach him that he is in a safe place.
Cheddar is a completely different cat then when he first came into foster. He needs a patient and understanding family who will continue to help him build confidence, and understand he is loved so that he never becomes a scared kitty in a corner again. We think he is a few years old and he is an absolutely stunning looking boy. He will need best feline friends and a safe place to play outside with his friends once he is competely settled into his home.
