Meet Remy, a 4 1/2-year-old black n white, male Cocker Spaniel. He is friendly, playful and would love quality time with you. He came to rescue scared of men but would quickly warm up to women. He is an owner give up from a single mom with two children who had to give him up after she moved into her mom's house and was only allowed to keep him outside. They had adopted him as a pup. He can be with other young playful female dogs who would love to play as long as they don't try to dominate him. He doesn't seem to do well with male dogs in a household environment.
Only minimal vetting had ever been done and no HW or flea/tick prevention was given. Bloodwork was done with many questionable levels and HW tested as positive. After his neuter/dental procedure was done it is normal procedure to re-do bloodwork before HW treatment. He tested this time as heart worm negative. He was adopted out shortly after, but it didn't work out, not his fault. When he came back to us, we re-tested and it once again showed heart worm positive, so we did treatment for him with a good recovery. He does have a slight heart murmur and is on medicine for dry eye. He would love to be your new best friend. He will be a good house dog and would love to be placed into a home with a young, playful, dog social female cocker who will not dominate him. A secure fenced yard is a must. He is a good boy and might just steal your heart. He is in one of our foster homes in Mooresville, NC.
His adoption fee is $400.
