Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bear has had a hard last year! He had been lost/abandoned, terrible parasite infections and then went blind. He lost his vision due to retina degeneration diagnosed by Opthamologist. We have been to several Vets and Specialists. We dont know what happened to him, possibly traumatic. He is VERY friendly and would do best with someone who works from home because he craves attention all the time, loves to be brushed and comes when you call him. I would like to see him go to a very quiet home, that can make modifications for him and not many changes daily. Definitely only indoors only! He is very well adjusted , considering he just went blind in the past few months. He uses litter box perfectly, eats and drinks normally in a small room he has to himself. He can learn his way around a smaller house in time and he likes other friendly non aggressive cats-probably OK with mellow dog too.. He has had all his dewormings and vaccines and negative FeLV FIV. Recent bloodwork, PCR tests to rule out anything else that was cause of blindness= all negative and normal. He can be fearless and brave when he knows you and his environment but does not like loud noises. He will need patient new pet parents. Local adoption is best and preferred but will consider other options with proper approvals. He needs to be on GI prescription diet, he has had some constipation and obesity issues but does very well on this diet now. -West Palm Beach. Lets get this sweet guy a great home!
