My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Spanky's journey began in September of 2021 when he came to us as a young dog, about 10 months old, with a permanent but non-lifethreatening medical condition. Since he's been with us he's been one of our favorite dogs to introduce other dogs and also one of our favorite dogs to have out and about. He loves to play and run around with people and dog friends! Spanky does well on walks and has been known to love everyone he meets. He would do best in a home without livestock as recommended by the last foster home he was at. Even though this incredibly sweet boy has spent the majority of his life in the shelter he acclimates very quickly to a comfy couch and bed! All he's looking for is someone willing to give him the love he so desperately craves; he promises to return the favor for the rest of his life!

Additional adoption info

Our goal is to adopt as many pets into loving forever homes as possible each month. We screen applications and arrange meet and greet times with each animal. Once the potential adopter has completed their application and met the pet, we do a 1 on 1 consultation about pet care and the life expectancy of their new family member.

More about this rescue

Why do we do what we do?

We rescue animals because they deserve a second chance at life. They didn't ask to be thrown out like trash or trapped and put into a scary place.

We rescue from high kill shelters and immediate danger.

Every animal deserves a chance at life.
