Hi, hi, hello, hi, yo, what's up?!? I'm Piper and I love people and other doggos! I'm a strong parvo survivor! My friends at Beauties and Beasts saved me from being mercy euthed with only seconds to spare. I love to play, talk, run around, be stilly and I love to cuddle! I am kennel trained, and keep it clean! Sometimes really small people make me nervous, I would like to be in a home with children over the age of 8 or children who understand boundaries, I do not like to feel cornered or trapped.
(Insert Foster Mom Dialogue) If I could use one word to describe piper it would be "clever". She is is a fun and rambunctious girl, and very intuitive, and could be the perfect dog for something like agility or advanced obediance training. She would really like to have another playful dog in the home, she can hold her own with our other much larger dogs and would play all day and all night if they would let her.
Piper loves to go play with the big dogs at doggy daycare during the week, and it relly helps her get out some of her high energy. She does have what we call "little dog attitude" shes not so little but she does have that Jack Russell mentality when it comes to being somewhat posessive of her people.
Piper passed her cat test, and was actually kind of timid around Dan and Ann (cats). Unsure of how she would react around cats who havent been around dogs and who would run from her. She would probably do best in a home with cats that are dog friendly and wont fuss much over her being around them.
While not required, homes with another dog in the home are preferred.
PIPER IS A JUMPER AND WILL NEED A HOME WITH AT LEAST A 5' WROGHT IRON FENCE OR A 6' PRIVACY FENCE.

Additional adoption info
For us, the adoption process begins the day we take a dog or cat into our rescue. It’s a huge responsibility, taking in a lost soul and promising them a happy life, but we are pretty proud of the forever families we’ve helped create because our adoption process is so thorough.
The first step in adopting is to fill out the adoption application. This helps our volunteers understand what kind of new friend you are looking for, and allows us to identify any issues that would prevent us being able to place certain animals in certain homes. For example, breed restrictions in your town or apartment complex, etc…
The Beauties will conduct a vet check to make sure the pets you currently have are all up-to-date on vaccinations and spayed or neutered. We will also contact you to set up a home visit, where we can make sure that the home you have meets the needs of the animal you are interested in. Example: fence height for dogs who are jumpers, stairs for dogs who have mobility challenges, etc… We try to troubleshoot any potential problem areas and offer friendly advise so that our ultimate goal, a forever happy match, can be achieved.
After the application process is complete, the real fun begins! It’s time for Meet-N-Greets! We have a professional dog trainer on our board of directors, and we can schedule her assistance in helping you with dog-to-dog introductions while you are searching for your new family member. It’s amazing how often the existing family pet has a little something to say about who they want to spend time with and having a pro help out makes the potential for a successful intro go through the woof! We mean, roof!
Once you have decided on the dog or cat of your dreams, all that is left to do is sign the adoption contract and pay the fee, which includes all vaccinations, microchip and spay/neuter.
