Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Daisy is a gentle, loving pit mix with a beautiful black and white coat and an even more beautiful soul. She came to the rescue after her loving family, unfortunately, couldn’t continue providing the care she deserves. But Daisy is nothing but resilient, and she’s ready to find her forever family who will continue giving her the love and care she thrives on.
Daisy is the perfect companion for someone looking for a laid-back, loyal partner. She’s a fan of her walks, car rides, toys, and chewing on her bones, but above all, she loves cuddling on the couch and staying in with her person. Whether you’re looking for a stroll in the park or a quiet night in, Daisy is right there with you, ready to join in on whatever makes you happy.
Daisy is a patient girl who is perfectly fine being left alone while you’re away, waiting for you to come home with a wagging tail and excited greetings. While she can be a bit of a puller on walks, she’s a quick learner and has made great progress already. She enjoys meeting new people and is friendly with other dogs, though she gets a little excited at first. After a quick sniffing session, she calms down and is a social butterfly. Daisy’s ideal home would be one with older children who understand her boundaries, as she has yet to be in a home with young kids.
Sweet and endearing, Daisy has mastered the art of melting hearts with her big puppy dog eyes. Her floppy ears bounce with every step, and when she plays with her toys, she’s all puppy at heart – full of joy and energy. Daisy is adaptable and happy to go with the flow. Whether it’s a walk in the park or a lazy weekend on the couch, she’ll follow your lead and enjoy every minute of it.
Her family used to call her “Crazy Daisy,” but we like to think she’s content, goofy, and loving once she feels safe. Daisy just needs a family that will be patient and give her the unconditional love she deserves. With her gentle spirit, playful nature, and devotion to those she loves, she’s ready to fill your heart and home with joy.
Daisy can’t wait to meet her new forever family. Whoever is lucky enough to bring her into their life will have a loyal, loving, and goofy companion for years to come!

More about this rescue
Players for Pits is a 501c3, non profit rescue that connects professional athletes to the community in order to come together to take a stand against the abuse and neglect of animals. PFP serves the western suburbs of Chicago and is a foster based rescue, so the dogs in our care are in foster homes learning the basics of being a well balanced dog versus being in cages at loud boarding facilities.
The athletes involved in our rescue actively support the rescue efforts and help by spreading the word of dogs in need. It is the mission of Players for Pits to educate dog owners about proper pet care - both physical and mental - so that the dogs in our care can be happy, well balanced members of society. It is our goal to rescue dogs from high kill shelters and place them into loving homes in the suburbs. At Players for Pits we stand up for pit bulls, who's character is routinely tarnished and often misrepresented. We recognize the pit bull for what it is: a DOG. And any dog with the right care and owners can be a wonderful pet. While we are an advocate for pit bulls, we do not discriminate based on breed and will take in other breeds if they need you help. Players for Pits is also very active in the community and we co-host clinics to help struggling families maintain their pets health, we train pit bull type dogs to become therapy dogs for children with abusive backgrounds, and we try to involve the community in our goal to reduce pet abandonment.
