My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Batman, a strikingly handsome white Dalmatian with a heart full of love to give. Batman's journey brought him to our rescue when he was found abandoned, but now he's ready to start a new adventure with a caring and committed family. Batman is a true superhero in his own right. He's not just known for his unique and eye-catching appearance but also for his charming and friendly personality. Batman is a social butterfly who thrives on human interaction, and he's sure to bring a lot of joy and laughter to your life. Batman is a well-balanced and easygoing dog. He gets along well with other dogs and is known for his playful and friendly nature. Whether it's a romp in the dog park or a cozy evening by the fireplace, Batman is always up for quality time with his human and canine friends. Batman is a smart and eager learner. He's already familiar with basic commands and is well-behaved both indoors and outdoors. He's eager to please and would excel in a loving home that continues his training and offers mental stimulation.
Batman is in excellent health, up-to-date on vaccinations, and neutered. Our veterinary team has given him a clean bill of health, so he's ready for his forever family.
If you're captivated by Batman's unique charm and believe you can provide him with a loving forever home, please contact our rescue organization. They will be thrilled to provide you with more information about the adoption process and help you take the first steps toward welcoming Batman into your life as your very own superhero.

Batman is located in Conway AR. A video visit can be arranged on request.

Application is required. Transport fee may apply.
Great news! Transportation arrangements are already in place, making it easy for Batman to join your family no matter where you are located.

Go meet their pets

We hold adoption event through out central Texas. we have microchipping events as well once a month. Most of our adoptable pets are in Fosters in several locations. We can do video visit with pets that are to far to see in person. We allow the adopters to speak to the foster to get to know the pet more. We encourage this exchange.

More about this rescue

We are friends that worked together at the Texas Department of Public Safety for many years.
We both have worked with rescue and fostered many dogs and cats. We started this nonprofit with a few more friends to assist and are very appreciative of all the support and help for the animals we all love. OPERATION BARKING SQUIRREL is a Texas registered nonprofit and 501.3 (c) that is seeking to fill the gaps in dog and cat rescue. We believe that all pets in rescue deserve a home of their own and we want to make that happen. We all see the pets that have been surrendered or dumped in Texas due to age, breed and no microchip to get them back to their parent, and, sometimes, no transportation to get them home.
Starting with senior and long term fosters dogs and cats,
we are promoting available dogs and cats that might be over looked because of their age or foster status.
The second gap is lack of microchips and microchip registration.
It is our goal to microchip and register at least 50 dogs or cats a month. Microchips can be expensive and we would prefer to offer free chips for all. For that to happen we need more funding. All pets should be chipped so they can make it back home, but unfortunately that isn't reality. We want to make that happen.Third gap is transportation.
You fall in love with a dog or cat to realize they are a state away or more. That's when you check the costs and realize how expensive transport is. We are USDA Certified Transporters and will offer low cost transportation or help fundraise for an individual trip.
