Felix is the sweetest and most handsome four year old pittie mix. He was found on the streets in Texas and jumped at his opportunity to become a Colorado Underdog! He was skinny, scared and heartworm positive, but he is working to change all that! He is such a good boy! And quiet too! He’s definitely not a barker. He does great on a leash and is never reactive to other dogs. He only wants to say hello. His dog park visits have been successful–he likes to introduce himself and then usually wanders off to do his own thing.
He is equal parts adventure buddy and couch potato. He would definitely benefit from regular activity and adventures. He even does great in the car! And when it's time to relax, he would be happy to snuggle on the couch with you. Because he’s never had a family of his own, he likes to keep his people close. He will follow you anywhere and everywhere! He loves all toys, but his favorite thing is a tennis ball. He loves chasing it and chewing it–bonus points if it squeaks! He also loves puzzles, games and kongs, but if they’re too difficult, he will give up and go find something else to do.
Felix can be a little unsure of himself and his surroundings at times, but he has gained confidence very quickly in his foster home. Loud noises and sudden moves can still startle him though, so it would be best to take things slow, and walk him in a harness. He is smart but has never had much training. He knows “sit” and is eager to learn more. He is also in the process of crate training.
Are you looking for a cuddly and quiet companion? Do you like outdoor adventures and Netfix binge sessions? Felix is your guy!
