Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
9/26/23 - ADOPTION PENDING!
Adoption Fee: $400
Age: 3 years
Weight: 10.8 lbs.
Fostered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Email: bryorkiemom@yahoo.com
9/3/23 -My last owners were moving out of state and could not take me with them. Imagine that, not being able to fit a 10.8 lb. in a carrier on a plane. Oh well, no sense in dwelling on the past. At least they had the decency to hook me up with YHR before flying away with everything they own but me. Well, they chose me the first time around, the second time, I will choose my family.
I love having other dogs around and would really like one or two my age and size to play with. I’m doing well with potty training, if you do your part, but I have to be honest, I had to wear a belly band at first in my foster home. (Secret: If I’m sitting in your lap, I will lick your face if I want to go out). I’m easy to get along with and love ALL humans. I eat like a champ, sleep great in the human bed (MANDATORY), and do excellent with free rein of the house when foster mom has to run errands. I ADORE squeaky toys, like going for walks, am in love with cuddle time on the sofa and am the best make-out partner you will ever find. I’m not a huge barker, so attached housing wouldn’t be a problem, but I have to admit that I love a fenced in back yard to run and play in…. especially if I have fur-siblings to play with.
Normal household noises/activities don’t bother me, but foster mom hasn’t had me long enough to know if bad weather or fireworks would scare me. I don’t hate small children, but since I am active and curious, it probably wouldn’t be the best idea if we were roommates since I could get out and run away very quickly. Foster mom brushes my pretty locks and I do enjoy that attention.
I’m not uber clingy, and can definitely go play with other four-leggers or by myself or with squeaky toys, but can cuddle with the best of them. Just letting you know I’m pretty even keel. Apparently, I was given table food in my last home, which I am learning is a HUGE no-no for dogs.
So, if you have dogs for me to play with, have a fenced in back yard, will let me sleep in the human bed, have lots of squeaky toys and don’t plan on moving anytime soon (at least not to a place I can’t join you), fill out an application and let’s see what our future holds.
