Meet Gowoon🧡
She gave birth to seven puppies at Korean city shelter and was rescued along with her puppies. While her puppies have all found forever homes, Gowoon still remains at the Center, waiting for her own family.
* With People: Is still not accustomed to human touch. Allows gentle, cautious petting and can manage soft touches. May react defensively if touched too suddenly. It is necessary to take time to touch her, so she can become accustomed to it.
* With Dogs: Gets along well with calm dogs with a similar demeanor. Likes dogs that approach her gently.
* Separation Anxiety: Enjoys her own time and becomes more active when she is alone.
* Potty Training: Only practices outdoor potty now as she resides at our center.
* Hygiene: Has not yet been bathed or brushed due to her unfamiliarity with human contact.
* Walks: Is afraid of hands reaching for her to attach a leash, which has prevented her from going on walks.
* Car Sickness: Travels well in a car without any signs of motion sickness.
💌Special Notes💌
* Is frightened by loud noises and sudden movements. Slow, deliberate movements around her can help her feel more secure and comfortable.
* Tends to eat poop so it must be cleaned right away after pottying.
* Is extremely timid and infrequently nips for defensive purpose, which is getting better over time.
* Tends to bark at loud noises outside. Also barks if she hears someone in her kennel when she is outside.
❗Health Status❗
Heartworm negative upon retest.

All our dogs fly from South Korea to the US and Canada when their adoptions are finalized so the adopters cannot go through "meet and greet."
But once applicants pass zoom interview, we will connect adopter to foster team for the most up to date news as well as photos and videos. The adopter can post any questions and can make video call as well.
Please hold our dog's hands so that they can forget about the painful past and live happily.

More about this rescue
ADOGS(Adopt Dogs), a non-profit organization, is an abandoned dog foster/adoption organization launched by an individual volunteer group that has rescued, fostered, adopted dogs since 2018.
We are conducting rescue, foster, adopt from South Korea rural shelter. We also rescue dogs irregularly from illegal dog farms or any other places that need help.
We rescue large and small dogs of all breeds, including dogs with special needs.
Although we can't save all abandoned dogs in the world, we are doing our best to the dogs in front of us so that their lives can be changed like any other pets.
In expanding our search for adoption leads, we’ve broadened our mission: To bring at-risk dogs across the Pacific to loving stateside families.
Due to limited demand for large-breed dogs in Korea, arranging for local adoption has proven almost impossible. Instead, we seek to bring these persecuted dogs to the United States where dogs have a higher chance for adoption and survival.
