My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bubba is a super handsome and friendly boy! He was found as a stray, and vets estimate him at 2-3 years old. He is very dog friendly and housed with five other dogs of different sizes, ages, and types while waiting for his perfect family.

Bubba takes once daily thyroid medication which he needs to stay a healthy boy. When he arrived, he was 144lbs, because his thyroid wasn’t regulated, but is now down to 106lbs (and still losing!) He did take medication for allergies since he was itchy and has lost his fur from his illness, but he’s mostly weaned from that.

He loves playing in the kiddie pools, stuffy toys, and is like an extra large toddler. Bubba does pretty well pottying outside and on normal schedule should adjust easily in a home. He is a young dog, and mischievous, so an adoptive family should be prepared to have a good sense of humor and patience on helping him learn his best big boy manners when he is testing the limits of his goofiness.

Bubba loves everyone; men, women, children of all sizes. He doesn’t know his size, so may topple less sturdy kids. We have not had him around cats. He does know several commands and should be a fun addition to most families.

He will need commitment to his thyroid medication and periodic grooming apts.
