My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Heena is a sweet one year old who, through no fault of her own, was bounced around from house to house until she was finally rescued.

At first she was skittish and scared of new people, but boy, has she warmed up!

Her foster mom works in a pet spa, so Heena spends all day at the spa, meeting and greeting dog and human clients as they walk in the door. She is extremely friendly and gets along well with other dogs. When it comes to humans, she can be a little shy the first time you meet her, but if you give her a treat, she’s yours forever.

Heena walks well on a leash and is crate trained. She knows to do her business outside! She rides well in a car and also knows have to behave on the public bus. She does jump up on you when she is excited to see you, but with consistent correction this is going away. She is just a pup, after all.

Heena is the kind of dog that is easy to love and would do well in almost any home (we’re not sure how she is with young children as she has not been exposed to them).

She would love to have another dog in the family to play with. All she needs is chance to feel a part of your family, then she will snuggle up against you, put her head in your lap, and you’ll never want to let her go.
