Emmy is a very sweet 6 year old girl. She is looking for a new forever home with her sister Jinx. Although they are not litter mates they have been together nearly their entire lives and are very good friends so they need to be adopted as a pair. Two cats are always better than one.
Emmy is a little bit of an introvert who likes to be near people rather than have full on cuddles but she will happily accept pets any time. She tends to eat too fast so she will go to her new home with a slow feeder bowl to help her regulate her intake. She is quite food motivated and will eat as much as someone will give her so feeding her meals will be important in order for her to stay at the healthy weight she is now.
She will most likely hide when visitors are over but she may possibly watch from a distance. When the visitors are gone she will come back out and make herself known. It will be important to make sure that she doesn’t get out of the house as she can be pretty fast sometimes and may try to sneak out. She has never lived with a dog or small children but her family believes that as long as a child is old enough to know to be gentle with a cat and understand their boundaries, she would do fine with children.
Emmy can be a vocal cat especially when it’s close to meal time. She has a friendly little trill when she thinks you are going to feed her. Sometimes if she can’t find you right away she will call out for you until she finds you again. She will enjoy sleeping on the bed with her new family member and she has a special little cubby (a stuffed shark) that will go with to her new home.
Can you provide a new loving forever home for these sweet young gals?
