Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Angel is a gorgeous female, 7-month-old Pyrenees/ Border Collie mix. She was rescued from living in the woods and was in terrible condition. When Wags to Riches Rescue found her, she was very underweight, covered in ticks & fleas, her beautiful fur was matted up, and her toenails were long. From her condition, it was apparent she had been on her own for a few months. In just 2.5 weeks she has transformed in appearance and is now ready for her forever home.
From the moment she was rescued, she showed an immediate love for children. She loves to play with other dogs and shows no aggression to an outside cat that lays 2" from her on the other side of a fence. Angel isn't into toys yet because she probably never had any before. Angel walks GREAT with a harness/leash, rides in a car perfectly and shares her food. She is the perfect family dog. She is currently brushed daily, and her stunning, cottony fur should be grown out in a couple of months. Angel is on the small side for a Pyrenees, and we believe she is mixed with Border Collie. She weighs 40lbs and will continue to flourish and grow.
Angel enjoys playing in water, probably trying to cool off from the Alabama heat. She is very intelligent and after her dip in the pool, she lays in front of a big fan in her kennel.
Please remember she has 3" fur and an undercoat that will require brushing to avoid tangles. She will need patience with house training since she was surviving outside on her own. Angel is an outstanding girl who needs a loving home and attention. She would love all the belly rubs she can get!!
At wags to riches, we pride ourselves on having the lowest prices of any rescue while doing the most for our dogs. Being a very small organization, we are a 2-woman show, have no overhead, and work hard to give our dogs the most loving home possible. Because we are so small with limited volunteers, we have to use an external transport company (if you don't want to drive to Alabama to get your dog( to transport the dog to Maryland/PA/VA area. He charges $150 per dog. This cost would be in addition to the adoption fee.
