Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tara is an absolutely beautiful pup who looks like a Norwegian Elkhound/ Siberian Husky blend.
Tara is a real attention-getter. She has one very light blue eye and one hazel eye. people always comment on how well behaved and gorgeous she is.
She’s about three years old and weighs 50 pounds.
Of all the dogs I’ve fostered in over 30 years, Tara is the best dog with children I’ve ever met! She absolutely LOVES kids, and they absolutely love her! She loves little kids, big kids, toddlers - you name it - she just loves children.
Tara is completely housebroken and crate trained. In fact, she doesn’t need a crate at all, but sometimes she just likes to sleep in her crate because it’s her own little private space.
Tara walks on a leash and is very social. I often take her to lunch with me when I can sit on a patio, and she can take in the sights.
She’s very athletic. This beautiful girl runs so fast that I can’t believe it – sometimes I think she’s got Greyhound in her! She’d be a wonderful hiking, camping, walking buddy, or beach dog.
Tara is so gentle, mellow, and affectionate. One of the things l love most about her is that she very seldom barks – but when she has something important to say, she howls. It’s the best sound in the world – she’s a real talker!
Tara is a bit of a dominant dog, so when I get a new foster, she has to make sure they know that she’s the boss dog! But she gets along with all of them. She’s not particularly fond of small adult dogs, but she’s fabulous with puppies – even newborns. She has a real mothering instinct!
Tara is a beautiful girl. She has one bright blue eye, and one darker hazel eye, and her coat is soft, soft, soft!
She also loves the car.
I am a firm believer in allowing people to take a new buddy home for a “sleepover" to be sure your family, your other pets, and whomever you adopt all get along. Of course, we ALWAYS take our rascals back if things don’t work out.
Please email findabestbuddy@gmail.com or call
