PATRICK is a WONDERFUL dog with a lot of potential! He’s approximately seven months old, weighs 48 pounds, and has a short, smooth, black coat with white markings.
PATRICK is a playful, energetic, loving adolescent pup. He has had a ton of dog social experiences and exposure. He loves his doggy friends. One of his favorite things is to romp and play in the yard with a doggy pal. He enjoys playing chase, bitey face, and WrestleMania. He will adjust his playstyle at the suggestion of his doggy friend. PATRICK also loves all humans. He is willing to approach humans, give them a little kiss, and then he’s off to play again. He loves balls, chews, and squeaky toys. There are never enough toys for PATRICK to choose from. He typically finds a toy and will self-entertain. As much as Patrick loves toys, he can also settle nicely in the house.
PATRICK enjoys spending time indoors with his family but he is also very happy outdoors too. He is happy to hang out outside by himself or with doggy friends. He is, however, far too interested in cats, so for his safety and theirs, he will need a cat-free environment.
Patrick’s training has focused on safe socialization. He is cooperative with baths and nail trims. Due to PATRICK’s young age and lack of experience, he will need continued leash work. PATRICK is highly food motivated, which makes training fun! He learns quickly and is a great student.
PATRICK’s favorite thing is to play in the water. If the kiddie pool has water, I will find PATRICK lounging there. He will put his entire face in the water to find toys or splash around. Watching his joyful behavior when he’s playing in the water brings a smile to my face.
PATRICK understands to sit and wait for access to the things he wants. For example, he will sit/wait to go outside the door, wait to get dressed, and sit/wait for his meals. PATRICK rides well in the car and does not get car sick. PATRICK is crate trained, house trained and up to date on vaccinations.
If you are looking for a fun-loving, well rounded youngster, PATRICK is now ready for his forever home.
PATRICK’s adoption is PARTIALLY SPONSORED. His adoption fee is $125.
PATRICK is micro-chipped, neutered, heartworm negative and on preventative, and up-to-date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application (https://norcalbcrescue.org/adoption/adoption-application/) and wish to inquire about PATRICK, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration.
PATRICK is fostering in Orangevale in Sacramento County, CA.
