Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Taos is a strikingly handsome, 8 year old pitty mix. His owners made the difficult decision to surrender him as they were moving overseas and were unable to take him with them. In his foster home, he has proven to be both house-trained, crate-trained and has some knowledge of basic commands. Although considered a senior, he has a medium energy level and a lot of life left! He is fond of tug toys, loves to play with the hose and any water-related activities, and he enjoys exploring the world on walks. With a harness on, he can walk nicely on leash but needs the occasional reminder when he spots something of interest. When he moves inside, he has a nice off-switch and will find a cozy dog bed for a peaceful nap.
In his previous home, he lived with a female dog and a cat. We think he would be comfortable either living alone or with a lower-key, similar sized, (preferably) female dog to grow old with. He's not a big player with the dogs in his foster home, but he is comfortable hanging out with them. We would love to find an incredible home that can adore this big-headed guy where he can enjoy his golden years. Taos is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations and ready to find his new forever home.
