Here's what the humans have to say about me:
⭐️⭐️⭐️DOG AND CAT FRIENDLY!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️
We are helping a member of our community rehome these two dogs that she took in when a family member could no longer look after them. She’s willing to foster them until they are adopted. Thanks to her, they’re staying out of the shelter and getting a second chance at finding their forever home!
These two are definitely NOT bonded. In fact they’d do better separated. So please don’t overlook one because you can’t adopt both! They are uniquely amazing dogs that will make a great addition to any home!
What is your name?
Deebo (named after a 49r football player)
How old are you? I’m about a year and an half old.
Are you male or female? Male
How much do you weigh? About 13 pounds of snips ands snails and puppy dog tails (if you know that childhood rhyme – my foster mom does)!
What do you look like? I am a very handsome boy, if I do say so myself – my owners tell me that all the time too! My coat is black with a tan tuxedo chest and bits of tan and white on paws. My ears are both straight and floppy adding to my cuteness.
What do you like to eat? I am a good eater, but I like to take my time. I usually clean my plate of dry kibble (usually Purina meat variety mixed with IAMS chicken kibble and a small spoonful of Rachel Ray or other yummy wet food mixed in). My foster mom spoils me.
What kind of personality do you have? Well, I am the most important boy, like most chihuahuas like to be, and super loyal to my person(s). I get along with other dogs generally and love, love, love to chase my tail, first in one direction, then in the other – someday, I’ll catch it.
Describe your perfect day: An hour or so at the dog park with my foster family and dog friends, then dinner and snuggling with my favorite person and a little biscuit before bedtime.
What is your favorite toy? A big, knotted rope I share with my foster brother dog pal where we play tug of war where I often win as I’m able to run circles under and around him.
Do you know any tricks? I’m learning how to “sit” on command. I’m a quick learner so am ready to learn more – am working on “leave it” and “stay”. And did I tell you I love to chase my tail? That’s a pretty good trick, right?
What scares you? Sometimes I’m shy around men who I don’t know. Also fireworks and loud bangs or power tools or loud machinery if I’m not used to them.
Have you been around children? Do you like them? I’ve been around teenagers in my household but not young children other than encountering them while on walks or at the dog park. I like everyone but I’d probably do best with an adult household and with older children.
Do you like cats? I wish they liked me as I’m super fun and I’d like to play, but the few cats I’ve been around want to just ignore me.
How do you feel about other dogs? I love playing with my foster brother dog pal and with other dogs at the dog park.
If you could be anywhere in the world, where would it be? In the warm and comfy lap of my forever mom or dad.
How is your health? Super duper! I’m still quite young, so am a picture of good health!
Who do you live with in your foster home and who is your closest companion? My foster mom and a pit bull/Weimaraner mix who is a big puppy (almost one year old). We grew up together.
Where do you hang out when you are home alone? In the back yard, playing with my foster brother dog pal or napping in my crate on the back porch.
Where do you sleep? In a crate which I love.
Do you like walking on a leash? Yes, it means I get to go somewhere wonderful with my foster family.
Do you have any "not-so-great" habits that we should know about? For instance, do you bark or dig in the yard? I try to mind my foster mom. I find places to sometimes hide from my big foster brother dog so that I can peacefully chew my toy but it’s sometimes where my mom doesn’t want me to be, so I’m learning. I only bark when I hear someone coming or when I get a little bit excited when playing with my dog buddies.
Are you house trained? (Meaning do you go potty outside) I usually spend most of my time outside and am semi-potty trained, though need a bit more time with training. Though I sleep through the night in my crate generally with no accidents.
Do you like playing in water? Not my favorite thing though my foster brother dog loves it but he generally can’t entice me to go in the water with him.
What do you love about your foster family? How much they love me and are teaching me good manners and other fun things. And that they always want the best for me!
