Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This beautiful little lady is named Queenie. While we usually like to chance our dogs names after saving them to reflect their new "leash" on life, Queen fits this this girl perfectly - she's just everything a true queen should be!
Kini had been abandoned twice by previous "owners" that couldn't see how truly special this girl is. The first time, she arrived at the shelter with her best friend, King, who was quickly euthanized for "aggression", leaving Queen all alone in a scary, overcrowded shelter. She was days away from being euthanized when she was adopted by an apparent savior, only to be found abandoned in an apartment only months later. Despite what she's already endured, she's not allowed this to dampen her sweetness or her love and affection towards everyone she meets. Kini loves playing with toys, lounging in the sun, and cuddling with people, but would prefer to be the "queen" of her own castle - though if there's a kindly "king" there too, she won't complain, and it may help her heal from the loss of her beloved companion. If you're looking for the snuggly companion of your dreams, look no further than our precious Queen!
