Meet Nilly: Nilly is a beautiful 17-month old (born around March 2023) lab/pit mix that weighs around 57 pounds. She is an absolute sweetheart and want to make someone happy. Is that someone you? She is good with other dogs and has been around a cat for a weekend trip with no issues. Nilly loves walking and is good on a leash. She has learned a few commands too – sit, lay down, and shake. Even when she gets excited when she sees a bunny or squirrel she will “let it” when you tell her to. She is treat-motivated and learns commands quickly.
Nilly is crate-trained and is so comfortable with her crate that she will go into it just for a rest. She is potty-trained and lets her foster family know she has to potty by running to the door.
She is extremely loyal to her people, but needs time to get to know you. It’s not because she’s mean, but rather because she is shy. She does bark upon first meeting people, but that’s to tell you she wants to take it slow. Once she is comfortable, you’ll be sure to know because she can’t stop wagging her tail or giving kisses.
We would love for Nilly to have a home with a fenced in yard for her to run and play! Nilly is up to date on her vaccinations and is spayed. If you are interested in adopting this sweetie, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application.
