Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Note: Odi is available for adoption in Toronto, as his flight from Korea to Toronto is secured on October 10, 2023.
Odi was rescued from a distressing puppy mill in Namyangjoo, Korea last spring. He emerged from a life of hardship, having been one of the countless dogs trapped in a cycle of producing puppies in deplorable conditions. His days were spent confined to a squalid wired cage, devoid of sunlight and play, while his sole purpose was reduced to producing puppies for profit, destined for both neglect and even the meat market.
Fortunately, Odi’s fate took a turn for the better when he was rescued. After spending a few months in a nurturing foster home, he transitioned to our partner boarding house, where he has been living alongside other dogs. Throughout his journey, Odi has demonstrated remarkable resilience and a gentle spirit, despite the adversity he has faced.
Odi has a kind and calm personality. He gets along well with other dogs and people. His gentle behavior shows his strong spirit and how well he can do in a loving home.
We believe that Odi’s ideal adopter is someone whose lifestyle aligns with his needs. Retirees or individuals who work from home would be a perfect match for him. Odi flourishes when he receives ample attention and care, and his new family should have the time to dedicate to his well-being. While he is comfortable being the sole canine companion in the household, he thrives in a calm and serene environment. A home with overly hyper or energetic dogs might not be the best fit for him, given his preference for tranquility—a sentiment often shared by rescued dogs who have overcome challenging beginnings.
Odi means ‘mulberry’ in Korean.
Odi is available for adoption. The fee to adopt Odi is $780.
