My name is Velma!

Meet Velma girl! Velma spent the first months of her life in 100+ degree Texas weather after her previous "owner" dumped her in an industrial area. She lost 3 of her siblings from the heat and some really, really terrible people. Despite this, she is learning to trust us and loving life off the streets. She and her mom are the only survivors of the pack. Velma just saw her mom off as she is moving to Connecticut where her new pet parent lives. Velma is now waiting for her turn to find her forever family. Velma is impressively calm and quiet while she decompresses in this new environment. She always perks up around her foster sister. She does seem territorial around her food; I think some training will resolve this. She loves cheeseburgers, tortilla chips, and gentle head scratches. She has gotten her first round of shots, and I will continue her vetting as long as she is in my care. The adoption fee will go directly towards her spay.
