My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bridget – Your New Best Friend! ??

Bridget is a sweet and energetic female shepherd-hound mix who’s ready to find her forever home! This beautiful girl is about about 1.5 years old and is looking for an adopter that can keep up with her playful spirit and give her all the love she deserves.

Bridget is house trained and crate trained, thanks to her wonderful time in foster care. She’s smart, quick to learn, and loves to show off her skills – especially when treats are involved! She’s highly treat-motivated, whether it’s learning new commands or perfecting her current skills, Bridget is eager to please.

While Bridget is full of love and loyalty, she would do best as the only dog in the home and in a home with no small children. She has a big heart and would thrive in a space where she can be the center of attention. When Bridget loves you, she really loves you – she’s incredibly devoted and will be your best friend for life.

If you’re looking for an active, smart, and loving companion who will always keep you on your toes (in the best way!), Bridget might just be the perfect match for you.

More about this rescue

The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina's mission is to serve as a safe haven for homeless and neglected pets and act as a resource to the community. By educating the public about issues pertaining to animals, we feel that we can work towards the elimination of over breeding of dogs and cats and teach owners to be responsible pet owners. At the same time, we hope to facilitate adoption of pets to good homes so that we can allow more unwanted animals to find a temporary home with us.
