Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ADOPT LUNA
F | 6Y | 9.2 LBS | Domestic Shorthair | Spayed | UTD on shots | Not dog tested | Cat tested | Kid tested - older cat savvy kiddos | Litter box trained | Uses a scratch post
Luna is incredibly friendly and social with people but relatively fearful when it comes to other animals and exploring her surroundings. She warms up almost immediately to new people and is very affectionate with them, however she does prefer to be the one to approach and initiate contact.
Luna's typical day consists of sleeping, cuddling, grazing on her kibble and more cuddling. She prefers to be right by her humans if they allow for it, this is where she feels safe. She likes to explore the bedrooms throughout the day, searching for the perfect spot to have a cat nap and spends some time scratching on her cat tree.
Luna can react to loud noises or sudden movements by hiding. She would do best in a home where her humans are calm and not overly noisy. Slow introductions with humans and other animals are very important to set Luna up for success. Luna has previously lived with another cat, to whom she was very close to and possibly bonded with. She currently lives with a cat in her foster home but can still be quite timid and fearful. Her amazing foster family has been letting Luna set the pace and all future introductions to cats should be slow and controlled with lots of patience to help Luna feel most comfortable. Because of this, we think a home without dogs or young kids would be best for Luna, she would do well in a home with older kids/teenagers that understand Luna needs her space.
