Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Bashful comes by his name honestly. He’s sweet as pie with people and finds comfort in being pet. His shyness centers around the leash. He doesn’t seem to have had much practice with him before he came into the shelter on 8/28/23. He’s been practicing and is getting better, but his leash skills still need more work. He’s nervous about having the leash put on him and tries to dodge to avoid having it put over his head. Once it’s on he needs encouragement to feel comfortable walking on it. Treats and petting breaks are always appreciated!
Loose in the play yard he’s more relaxed. He likes to walk around and sniff everything. He’s not much for toys, but he loves treats! He’s got a low energy level and he’s perfectly happy to entertain himself. He does enjoy being pet though and finds it very comforting. He gains confidence the more time you spend with him, and his tail will even start to wag some.
