Here's what the humans have to say about me:
“Hello everyone! My name is Quincy. After my owner passed away, someone promised to take care of me. But they didn’t. They chained me to a tree and left me rot for what seemed like an eternity. Fortunately, I was rescued from that living hell, but I came to MVPC in really bad shape. I was emaciated, had no fur, and was riddled with skin, ear, and respiratory infections, and was heart-worm positive to boot. After months of treatment, I’m finally putting that nightmare behind me, and I now remember what it feels like to be loved thanks to my friends at MVPC. My body will always carry scars and reminders of that terrible time in my life, and my stamina isn’t as good as I would like, but I have a huge heart, and an amazing ability to see the best in people! I love everyone I meet, young or old. I'm very interested in other dogs, but due to my previous health issues, am just getting started on socialization training, and will need to be closely supervised around other dogs until I learn how to play properly. I haven't met any cats, so I'm not really sure about them yet. I enjoy car rides and walks but am also happy to crash in your lap for snuggles and pets. Belly rubs are my personal favorite, and a must if you want to adopt me. I like chew toys on occasion and will shred a stuffed animal in record time. But I really just want cuddle time with my human. Having been nearly starved to death, I am highly food motivated, but I am working really hard to be gentle when taking treats. I am housebroken, do good in my crate and am really good on a leash. I enjoy short walks in the park or around the neighborhood. If you are looking for a happy, loyal friend who will shower you with doggy kisses, please check me out. I want nothing more than my very own family to love and call my own.”

Our adoption fees are $250 for adult dogs, and $350 for puppies 5mo and under. Adoption fees may be more or less depending on breed, special needs, etc. This covers all vetting and allows us to take on hard cases.
It all starts with an application.
http://www.miamivalleypitcrew.com
Our dogs are listed until an adopter is approved and a hold fee is received. Please submit an application for approval FIRST. You will receive a "received" auto response with further information. We do not adopt out littermates together. We are a 100% foster-based, volunteer rescue so we are not able to respond to every inquiry about a dog (though we try) and we will respond to a request for an application or if one is submitted through our website. Please allow 72 hours for us to respond, and please check your spam/junk mail folder first, then send us an email if you believe we have not responded! Since we are foster-based, we have no centralized facility to visit. All of our dogs live in private homes as members of their respective foster families.
We require a physical fence for most dogs.
Once approved, we bring the dog to your home for a home visit. If all goes well at the home visit, the adoption is completed at that time.

To cultivate an understanding of the American Pit Bull Terrier through positive education and example and change the misinformed minds of society one dog at a time!
Nonprofit Overview
The Miami Valley Pit Crew (MVPC) rescue is a 501(c)3 nonprofit with a network of volunteer foster homes dedicated to rescue and rehabilitation of abused, neglected, and misunderstood dogs and puppies. While we are an all breed rescue, we specialize in "bully breeds" and other strong working breeds: Bulldogs, Pit Bulls, Mastiffs, German Shepherds and any mixes of the aforementioned. We pull dogs from the country's overcrowded shelters. We also educate owners and the public on bully breeds and Breed Specific Legislation (BSL). We specialize in dogs, but respect all living creatures and encourage others to do the same by education.
The MVPC evaluates each potential rescue request to determine the dogs re-homing probability. Our goal is to adopt out family dogs and ambassadors of their breed.
